Maria Montessori discovered and developed the scientific method of education which came to be known as the Montessori Method of Education.
Mario Montessori was Dr. Maria's only son. He was deeply involved in the organizational aspects of the Montessori movement.
Albert Max Joosten was a trusted lieutenant of Dr. Maria Montessori. She appointed him as her personal representative in India to carry on the work she began here during her stay in India.
SR Swamy was totally committed to the cause of the Montessori Movement in India. Along with Joosten he conducted the Indian Montessori Training Courses in the different parts of the country.
Dr. B. V. A. Rao is the Chairman of the Indian Montessori Centre. He has been actively involved in the activities of the IMC and has been extremely supportive in its functioning.
Mrs. Sivaramakrishnan has been ceaselessly working at promoting the Montessori method of education in India for the past four decades.
